Novus (non asbestos) sheeting, is a compressed non asbestos fibre based product with a high grade rubber binder

Non-asbestos materials generally have very good heat resistant properties. They are also good for use in applications that put them into contact with water, petrol, or natural gas.

As such, Novus non-asbestos sheeting materials are used in air compressors, diesel engines, pipelines, and many other general industrial and marine environments.

As a general rule, non-asbestos materials are:
Good for use with water
Good for use with petrol
Have good resistance to natural gases

Non-Asbestos materials, such as Novus, can resist temperatures of 400C. Novus also generally exhibits good resistance to acids, and most oils and fuels.

Novus is manufactured in numerous grades to meet the British standards.

This is a premium quality carbon fibre reinforced material, with a high quality nitrile rubber binder. This material is a universal grade especially suitable for use under alkaline conditions.

  • Good steam resistance.
  • Excellent creep resistance.
  • A suitable for use with oils, fuels and refrigerants.
  • Supplied with an anti stick surface.
  • Maximum Operating Temperature 400°C.
  • Maximum Pressure 80 Bar.

This is a high quality compressed sheet material, comprising of aramid fibre bound together by nitrile rubber. This material is a general purpose material suitable for use in a wide range of applications.

  • Excellent resistance to hot and cold water
  • Good resistance to steam, oils, fuels, gases
  • Good resistance to a wide range of general chemicals.
  • WRAS approved.
  • Supplied with an anti stick surface.
  • Maximum Operating Temperature 300°C.
  • Maximum Pressure 50 Bar.

This is a premium quality controlled swell material, comprising of a mixture of natural rubber an aramid fibre reinforcement. This material is suitable for use within the automotive trade.

  • Suitable for low bolt loading applications.
  • Can be supplied with an anti stick finish.

 

  • Maximum Operating Temperature 400°C.
  • Maximum Pressure 100 Bar.

This is a good quality material based on a mixture of aramid and inorganic fibres with a nitrile rubber binder. This is a general purpose material suitable for use in a wide range of applications.

  • Good resistance to hot and cold water, as well as steam.
  • Good resistance to oils, fuels, gases and a wide range of general chemicals.
  • Maximum Operating Temperature 450°C.
  • Maximum Pressure 160 Bar.

This is a superior universal material, comprising of a mixture of aramid/inorganic fibres and special additives, and bonded to together with a high quality nitrile rubber binder.

  • Excellent mechanical properties.
  • Good resistance to oils, solvents, high pressure steam and gases including oxygen.
  • Maximum Operating Temperature 300°C.
  • Maximum Pressure 60 Bar.

This is a medium quality general service material containing a proportion of recycled synthetic fibre jointing, bound together with a nitrile rubber.

  • Good resistance to oils, fuels, low pressure steam and mild chemicals.
  • Can be supplied with a non stick surface.
