Technix are very pleased to have won a large tender earlier in the year to supply Fendering for an offshore wind farm.
After weeks of conferring with our sales team – the customer decided exactly what the best material, size and shape for their project would be. Technix produced a bespoke order for Thermoplastic Elastomer Wing Fendering both in Black and Grey.
TPE is a non marking highly durable material, commonly used to make snow mobile tracks where stiffness and abrasion resistance are at a premium. This blend is also used heavily in the medical field – used for both medical devices and patients comfort products.
Once manufactured the fender was delivered 90 km off the shore of Germany to be installed on both Tower Grillages and Blade Rack support structures for the wind farm where 18 turbines will be providing power into Sylt Germany.
