Expanded Polyethylene has a closed cell cross linked structure impermeable to air and water and therefore an ideal material for sealing against air and/or water. It is very strong and resilient make it an ideal material for uses including shock absorbing, vibration deadening, acoustic and thermal insulation, and cushioning for packaging applications.
Expanded PE Polyethylene foam can also be specified/known as Plastazote®, Alveolit®, Evazote®, and Jiffycel®
